In this 20-week program, students will earn Dental Assisting I, SPICE, Medical Office Emergencies, and Radiology certifications by completing online didactic and in-person laboratory and clinical coursework.
Dr. Nikki Hicks is an instructor at Aspiras, where she is proudly the CEO/Co-Owner/Instructor. Dr. Hicks believes that we can discover more about ourselves as we learn, so we should always thrive to continuously learn more. To quote Henry Ford “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty.”
Dr. Hicks has been in the dental field for 19 years and in education for 7 years. Dr. Hicks is a registered dental hygienist, certified dental assistant, and certified American Red Cross CPR instructor; who holds a Doctorate in Executive Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, Master of Health Administration from the Pfeiffer University, Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Michigan State University and an Associate in Dental Hygiene from York Technical College.
Her ultimate goal is to offer access to quality education in rural, suburban and urban areas.
Taiasha McCoy-Stewart is an instructor at Aspiras, where she is proudly the President/Co-Owner/Instructor. For Taiasha McCoy-Stewart, the most rewarding part of her role is seeing the moment students learn and apply their knowledge in the clinical setting.
Taiasha has been in the dental industry for 25 years and in education for five years. Taiasha is a registered dental hygienist, certified dental assistant, and certified American Red Cross CPR instructor; she holds a Master of Arts in education from the University of Arizona Global Campus, an Associate in Dental Hygiene from York Technical College, and a Diploma in Dental Assisting from York Technical College.
She loves traveling and spending time with her family in her spare time.
